Spin the wheel

TorstenMarch 28, 20261 min read

If someone asks me…

Are you afraid of coding AI?

That question really raises my temperature, because it touches one of humanity’s key strengths: our ability to adapt dynamically.

Honestly, have you ever worked as a dev in crunchtime?

Many managers are struggling to keep up with the speed of current technical development, and in my role as a tech, I feel responsible just to stay on track.

Of course, AI can produce code faster — but is it actually cheaper? I doubt it when I look at token costs and the back-and-forth “ping-pong” often needed to get the code truly mature. Right now, it seems like the bank i.e. the provider is the main winner.

That said, this is only the current state. In six months, AI may improve significantly in debugging, perhaps through approaches like secret-service mcp — or the whole model could collapse.

So my answer is... No! But it will change everything... and I just spin the wheel faster ... and maybe I get a dollar back...
